Giving for Good: Special Olympics

On April 8 and 9, the JHE family teamed up to volunteer at the Special Olympics of Cabarrus County as part of the organization’s “Giving for Good” program. A great cause, Natalie Epperly was thrilled to lead the volunteer efforts at the annual Cabarrus County Spring Games which included donating audio and staging equipment in addition to volunteers who helped coordinate the day’s activities.

Based out of Cabarrus County Schools, Special Olympics Cabarrus County serves more than 750 children and adults with disabilities throughout the county. Training and competition are offered in 16 sports as well as the Youth Athletes Program.

The Cabarrus County Spring Games attract athletes from around the county who compete in various track and field athletic events during the two-day event.

“The Special Olympics of Cabarrus County is a wonderful organization, and JHE was proud to work with them for the first time as part of our ‘Giving for Good’ program,” said Epperly. “The day was a huge success with more than 10 employees donating their time to make the games special for each child.”
